The National History Museum of Moldova (Muzeul Național de Istorie a Moldovei) is the country's leading history and archaeology museum, located in central Chișinău. Founded in 1983, it houses over 320,000 artifacts spanning Moldova's history from prehistoric times to the present. Its collections include archaeological finds, medieval treasures, military exhibits, and cultural heritage objects. The museum also hosts around 15 temporary exhibitions each year and features the Capitoline Wolf statue in its courtyard. Housed in a reconstructed historic building, it serves as a major center for historical research, education, and cultural preservation in Moldova.
