Freezing room when we arrived, owner extremely discreet and reluctant to pass on and share. We were hoping for a little more warmth and friendliness in this place that is supposedly steeped in history. Damage Nathalie and Sacha

Friendly and very discreet welcome (the owner serves you the dishes and closes it behind him to give you complete privacy). The meal was very good. Very nice place renovated with great taste. Renovated bathroom and comfortable bedding. Missing a blind on one of the two windows (it can be annoying in summer!!). Very quiet place. I recommend

Nice fortified house but not a castle. The evening meal was good, but not gourmet. The breakfast was plentiful but bought commercially. The setting is pleasant and relaxing. Spacious and comfortable room for the night. The friendly owner. Bring a coffee carafe for the evening lol.

The place is lovely, has been very carefully restored, but no visit (neither free nor guided) is organized despite the signage at the entrance. At most we can go around it. Several of us were disappointed.

Very good time at the grand cour, for a weekend. Very good meal served in the evening, and incredible calm during our stay in this very well renovated castle!

Argos Theater

The ancient Argos Theater was built in 320 BC. and is located in Argos, Greece against Larissa Hill. Nearby from this site is Agora, Roman Odeon, and the Baths of Argos. The theater is one of the largest architectural developments in Greece and was renovated in ca 120 AD.

The Hellenistic theater at Argos is cut into the hillside of the Larisa, with 90 steps up a steep incline, forming a narrow rectilinear cavea. Among the largest theaters in Greece, it held about 20,000 spectators and is divided by two landings into three horizontal sections. Staircases further divide the cavea into four cunei, corresponding to the tribes of Argos A high wall was erected to prevent unauthorized access into the theatron and may have helped the acoustics, but it is said the sound quality is still very good today.

Around 120 CE, both theaters were renovated in the Roman style.
