A flea market was scheduled for September 7/8, 2024, unfortunately the hall was far too small for the rush on September 7th. that only a limited number of people were allowed in and the rest had to wait? which could have taken a very long time given the crowd. The cafe was still closed at 11 a.m. even though there was an event in the monastery, because everyone who was tired of waiting would have been happy to come in ? Fact of the whole thing: the flea market should have been spread over several rooms/houses, then there wouldn't be so many people We came from further afield and drove back angry ?

Very emotional experiences. The sisters are very nice and communicative. Definitely visit. If possible on the weekend, when the Way of Jesus and Francis can be visited.

You can relax very well, away from everyday stress and hectic life, and enjoy the Franziskus Garden with a piece of mother nature. Marvel at the monastery church and courtyard. Strengthen yourself in the café and then discover the exhibition and or monastery shop. The monastery also offers time out and more. Precious and blessed greetings there until the next visit with you Patricia-Achim ⛪️❤️???

Beautiful monastery dating back to the 13th century. Situated in a little village ( "Sießen" ) in the countryside. Since around 1860 run by nuns of the congregation of Saint Francis of Assisi. Active monastery life. Baroque church. Decent chapel for prayer service. Stunning parc area named "Franziskus Garten". A place to experience peace and the beauty of nature. A place to contemplate and meditate in nature. Definitely worth your visit. ❤
